Brunch at La Serre Bistro (Downtown Dubai)

After watching the spectacular Burj khalifa fireworks on New Year, we went to sleep late but were woken up early by the little one. Still dazed we were in no mood to make anything so we decided to have brunch. We’ve been wanting to try this place so decided to head here.

It seemed like everyone had stepped out for a New Year day brunch. The place was very crowded but luckily a table was available and we didn’t have to wait for it.

The staff did seem a bit hassled but despite it being very crowded, the food arrived quite quickly.

What we ordered

DRINKS

Tea – Served in a pot with a tea bag. The quantity made 2 cups which was perfect if you like an extra cup with your breakfast.

BREAKFAST

We were asked how we liked out eggs to be cooked and we both went for medium cooked.

Baked eggs with smoked tomato sauce, organic chicken sausage and red onion – The eggs were cooked as requested – medium cooked and the dish had good flavour.

Eggs Benedict – Poached eggs on toasted buns with Hollandaise sauce served with smoked salmon. This was so delicious! I didn’t stop for even a minute once I started eating. I could have eaten one more of this if I had room for it. Definitely recommend this.

French toast – The French toast was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. it has a crust of caramalised sugar which tasted absolutely delicious. It came with some jam and cream on the side. The little one really liked this and we happily finished the rest of it when she was done eating.

We would love to go here again for lunch to try some French dishes. A nice place serving good food.

Child friendly – YES
