Brunch at L’eto Caffe (Al Barsha)

I had heard a lot about the desserts at L’eto so when I saw it at the Mall of the Emirates, I decided to go and take some desserts back home. While I was there, I got tempted to have brunch too since I was quite tired after wandering around the mall.  They have a really nice selection of breakfast and lunch options. The dessert display looks beautiful and very tempting. The cafe was fairly crowded but the service was quite quick.

What I ordered

DRINKS

Mango Tango – Mango, chia seeds and coconut milk smoothie. The smoothie was served in a coconut bowl and was topped with roasted almonds. Top marks for presentation!  The smoothie was very tasty and the crunch from the almonds was nice.

Cappuccino – I loved their effort at low waste. There were no sugar sachets at the table and instead there was a glass bottle with brown sugar in it. The coffee was nice.

BRUNCH

Aussie Boasy on a Rye – Labneh, smashed avocado and basil on rye bread with egg on top. I asked for the egg to be runny and asked for smoked salmon. The presentation was beautiful and it tasted nice. However I was not very happy with the way the egg was cooked. The rye bread was quite hard and was difficult to cut through. This ruined it a bit for me.

DESSERTS

I got two desserts packed to take home –

Violet Macaron  cake – The Macaron was perfect. The sweet cream fillling was perfectly balanced with the tart raspberries. It was delicious!

Blueberry & Lime Cheesecake – A cheesecake presented in an innovative way. The outer layer – the base was quite rich and heavy. The lime came through in the cheesecake. I loved the flavours of this cake.

This is a really nice place. It is a bit pricey I would say but the desserts I thought were totally worth it.  While looking at the menu, I noticed instagram icons on side of some of the items. This meant those dishes / drinks were perfect for instagram pictures. I do have to agree, if you want some beautiful instagram pictures, this place definitely gives you those 🙂

I would definitely go back just for the desserts.
