Yesterday we went for lunch to Des Pardes, which serves authentic Pakistani food. When we arrived here, only a couple of tables were occupied but very soon it got very busy. This seems like a popular place. The service was warm and friendly.
What we ordered
DRINKS
Lassi – We ordered two lassis. The lassi was freshly made and was quite nice.
BARBECUE (STARTERS)
Fish Tikka Boti – The fish was tender and succulent. It seemed to have been marinated really well and was cooked to perfection. My other half highly recommends this one!
Chicken Malai Boti – We ordered this for our little one. It was good.
MAINS
Chicken Lahori – This was really good especially the gravy / masala which was very flavourful. The chicken was well cooked and was falling off the bone.
Veg fry / Mix vegetable – I wanted to order vegetarian so initially ordered Sarson ka Saag but they weren’t serving it at that time. Our server recommended the Mix vegetable, which was absolutely delicious. You have to try this one!
Mutton Biryani – The expectations from the Biryani were high but it was a bit disappointing. It was good nonetheless.
Rogni Naan – I could eat this just on its own too. This was so good and was really nice with the two main dishes as it soaked up the masala really well.
Sweet rice – This was a complimentary dish. This saffron flavoured mildly sweet rice was really nice. Our little one really enjoyed this one.
We didn’t order any dessert since we were quite full.
This is a nice and casual place serving good food. I would definitely visit again soon.
