Before we moved to Dubai, we had already started making a list of restaurants to visit, recommended by friends. Ravi restaurant was on the list too and I am so glad we finally went here. This place serves really good Pakistani food at a very low price. The decor is simple and clean. The service was very quick and we enjoyed the food a lot.
What we had
DRINKS
Laban – All 3 of us had Laban (yoghurt drink), which was in a packed container (it was called Laban Up). This was perfect with the spicy dishes we had.
MAINS
Chicken Peshawari – This was recommended by our server when we asked for a spicy dish. The gravy was really tasty and had pieces of chopped green chillies in it, which we really enjoyed. The chicken pieces were cooked well but lacked flavour when had on their own.
Mutton green masala – I am at a loss of words to describe how delicious this was. The green masala was absolutely amazing – perfect blend of spices with coriander, green chilles and ginger. This was so flavourful! The pieces were tender and cooked well. I definitely recommend this dish.
Malai Boti – We ordered this for the little one. We had some of it too and really liked it. The chicken seemed to have been well marinated – it was succulent and very tasty. The little one liked it too.
BREADS
We had a butter naan and a roti and they were both fresh and soft – perfect!
The server didn’t ask us if we would like any dessert however we were stuffed so we anyway didn’t. This place is worth a visit. We will surely be going back to try more of the delicious dishes they have to offer.
Child friendly – YES – They have high chairs, although we didn’t use one – our little one was comfortable on the chair. They seemed happy to customise the dishes for kids. There was a family sitting on the next table with young kids and they ordered some specific non spicy dishes for the kids 🙂
