Since we cook at home most days we rarely go out, but on the few occasions that we do, we plan properly, look at reviews and try new places to eat which makes the experience really special :).
One such place we had been to a while ago was an Italian restaurant – Mario’s pizzeria in Sidcup. Located close to Sidcup station, this restaurant is pretty small but seems pretty popular so you would be lucky if you get a table without a booking. We managed to get a table for 2 right near the door (not ideal because it was a chilly night) but we decided to go for it anyway. And I am so glad we did! The staff and the service was very friendly, chatty, attentive and very very warm and welcoming. The atmosphere was very homely and the food was exceptional – authentic Italian, well cooked food and you could make out it has been made with a lot of love and passion. Absolutely loved every bite of it!
For starters we ordered bruschetta each…
and then had pizza and lobster ravioli as mains.
We had the lovely limoncello cheesecake to end the meal which was accompanied by limoncello shots (on the house) which were brilliant!
Though this place did seem a bit on the pricey side, it is worth every penny! This is probably the best Italian restaurant I have been to and is most definitely on my favourite restaurants list.
