We had been wanting to go here since the time it opened but only just went here last week. We both love Vietnamese food, especially Pho, and since I was nursing a cold, I couldn’t think of a better meal than this. Vietnamese foodies is located in Downtown on the Boulevard and has lovely views of the Burj Khalifa. They have seating indoors and outdoors. We chose a table outdoors since the weather was quite nice. The service is quick, the staff is polite and the food is quite good.
What we had
PHO
Pho Bo Tai – Beef Tenderloin Pho. My husband ordered this one and he really liked. The been was very tasty and I loved the broth – it was very flavourful and delicious!
Pho Chay – Lotus root, Mushroom and Tofu Pho. I ordered this vegan Pho. I really liked the veggies in this one – they had a nice crunch to them. I was a bit disappointed by the broth though – it was good but wasn’t as flavourful. The little one however really liked the broth and the mushrooms in it and had lots of it. 🙂
DRINKS
Cafe Sua Da – Vietnamese special Iced Coffee with milk. I was pleasantly surprised by this. The coffee was really good. It was nice and smooth.
Orange Juice with Chia Seeds – Usually the little one really likes orange juice but she wasn’t very keen on this one. It seemed freshly made but had a slight bitter taste to it.
Honey Barbecued Chicken Steamed Buns. I am a huge fan of stuffed buns and always order them when I see them on the menu. These ones were super soft and tasty.
Goi Cuan Ga Nuong Ngu Vi – 5 spice grilled chicken lettuce rolls with Nuoc Cham sauce . These were light and crunchy and with the dipping sauce were quite nice.
Pad Thai Chicken Noodles – We chose this from the kids menu. The little one didn’t have much of this. She ate a few tofu pieces and we had the rest of it. I didn’t like the chicken pieces much but rest of the dish was good.
Overall it was a good lunch. Would like to try out their signature dishes next time.
